PRECEPTS OF EXCELLENCE (PART 6)

(16) ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR SOURCE

*God is both your creator and source. He intends to take the full responsibility for your needs and wants in life. Psalm 23, Matthew 6:25-28

*You have to come to a point that you are not attached to anything, person or position in life. God can use any channel to manifest His provision. Take your eyes off the supplies and focus on the supplier. 1 Kings 17:5-7

*You are what you are because of God. You owe your life successes to God, little or big. Never let God out of your sight. Psalm 103:1-5, Psalm 127:1-2,
Deuteronomy 8:10,11,17,18

Power Points

 Make God your source; refuse to be attached to any other thing contesting for supremacy in your life. You worship whoever or whatever you regard your source.
 Seek God the source and not money or things. Money comes after those that seek God while people seeking money keep running after it.
 Prioritize your communion with God as the most important thing in your life. Carnality or spirituality depends on what your mind is set.
 Never forget His benefits. An attitude of gratitude helps maintain a humble spirit.
 Guard against pride. There is nothing you have that was not given by God.

(17) PROTECT YOUR VISION

*Vision is the ability to see the end from the beginning. Vision is the unusual discernment or insight that presents a picture of the unseen and convinces you that it will come to pass. Vision sees beyond the present to capture what could or should be happening. Vision shows you the unseen and imprints it on your heart and mind. Habakkuk 2:2

*Vision provides the direction for your life. When you are focused on one vision, your faculties find the required energy to realize that vision. Where there is no vision, there is no focus. Proverbs 29:18

*Keep on stirring your vision when it seems so unreachable. Every God given vision is for an appointed time. Never jump ahead of God in carrying out your vision. Habakkuk 2:3

Power Points

 Develop a vision out of God’s purpose for your life. Your vision should be about God’s purpose for you.
 Jumping from one thing to another is an indication of lack of vision. You can’t be your best by running with another man’s vision.
 Stay with your vision even when it does not look real. A major test, one has to pass is to believe enough in his vision so as to keep acting when there is nothing to show for one’s belief.
 Surround yourself with people that believe in your vision and not with people who try to pull it down. You are meant to be celebrated and not tolerated.

(18) FOLLOW THE MANUAL

*God, your manufacturer released you as a product with His Word as your manual. Your capacity is undermined without the involvement of God’s Word. Matthew 4:4

*You are the architect of your life. You literally make your way prosperous by spending quality time in the word. Meditation and Confession of the Word will shape your life for excellence and success. Joshua 1:8

*The empowerment for excellent living is released through strong fellowship with the Word. Psalms 1, 1-3, Psalm 112:1-3

Power Points

 Make a fresh commitment to spend more time on the Word. You can only function and behave well by God’s Word.
 Make God’s Word your final authority and build your life on what it says. The Word of God is forever settled.
 Feed your spirit with the Word thereby letting loose the forces of life in your spirit. The Word of God is vital to the effective functioning of the forces of faith, joy, love and righteousness within.
 Become addicted to the Word of God through meditation. Filling your eyes, ears and mouth consistently with the Word of God is a great prescription for success.
 Deal with the death cycle in this world by the Word. The incorruptible seed of the Word when allowed to bear fruits will shield from the corruption in the world.
