Opposition is Part of the Deal

(Nehemiah 4:1 NKJV)“But it so happened, when Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, that he was furious and very indignant, and mocked the Jews.”

Nobody enjoys being opposed. It is normal to enjoy being appreciated and feel bad when opposed. If there is anything you must realize, it is the fact that your battle has more of a spiritual dimension than a natural one. This perspective will help you in handling opposition effectively.

Jesus instructed His disciples on how to respond to opposition. He told them to love their enemies, bless those that curse them, do good to those that hate them, and pray for those who despitefully use them, and persecute them (Matthew 5:44). This is the right way to respond. By doing this you turn the pressure on the devil rather than be under pressure.

Do not allow the company of Sanballat and Tobiah to stop you. Build the wall of your destiny without being distracted. Turn the heat on the enemy by mastering how to deal with opposition. Remember, we are not in a wrestling match against a human opponent. We are wrestling with authorities and powers that govern this world of darkness and control evil in the heavenly world. Child of God, you must stay focused even in the midst of fierce opposition.

I am a man/woman of purpose created in God’s image to fulfill a unique destiny. I am fearfully, marvelously and wonderfully made. Therefore, I celebrate my uniqueness.

I have a revelation of my divine purpose. My gifts find adequate expression in life and they open great doors for me before great men. Every gift of God within me is constantly stirred up to release my destiny.

I am sensitive to the plan and counsel of God. I am strategically positioned in life for great success. I excel by the grace of God in all good things.

God predestined, justified, called and glorified me before the foundation of the world. There is a blue print from God for my life. I work with God, the Master builder. Therefore, I do not build in vain. I have a clear vision. I do not run wild in life. I am not easily discouraged, but I follow through with the plan of God for my life.

I am diligent in my business so I always stand before kings and not before ordinary men. I am a great blessing to my generation.

My life is patterned after God’s original intention for me. All things are working together for my good. My future is bright and secure because God is on my side.
